April 12th, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Palisades High School, Bucks County
Senator Bob Mensch (R-24), Senator Chuck McIlhinney (R10), Representative Marguerite Quinn (R-143) and Representative Paul Clymer (R-145) will be hosting an educational forum on the new Marcellus Shale law (Act 13 of 2012) on Thursday, April 12th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The forum will be held in the cafeteria at Palisades High School, 35 Church Hill Road in Kintnersville. The event is open to all residents.
A panel of experts will include Representative Kathy Watson (R-144) and officials from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the Public Utility Commission, as well as representatives of the Renew Growing Greener Coalition, the Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research and Penn Environment.
The panel will discuss and take questions on Act 13 and its impact on Pennsylvania and our residents. The law places an impact fee on natural gas drillers, improves environmental safeguards and regulates the gas drilling industry in Pennsylvania.
