Mensch Receives “Guardian of Small Business” Recognition from the National Federation of Small Businesses

Harrisburg –  Senator Bob Mensch (R- Montgomery, Bucks, Berks) is honored to have been recognized by the National Federation of Small Businesses (NFIB) as a “Guardian of Small Business”.  The Guardian of Small Business Awards are given to Senators and Representatives who favorably support key small-business issues.

“It is an honor to receive this recognition from NFIB,” said Mensch.  “I am a huge advocate for small businesses and it is imperative that we continue to promote small business growth in Pennsylvania.  Small businesses are an important stronghold in their community, provide economic stability, create jobs, and have the ability to expand tremendously.”

Senator Mensch co-chairs the Senate Economy, Business and Jobs Caucus which examines ways to break down barriers that hinder economic expansion within the Commonwealth.  The goal of the Caucus is to bring more good-paying, family-sustaining jobs to Pennsylvania, while preserving jobs.

Earlier in the 2013-2014 session, Senator Mensch also introduced his Jobs Initiative Package which included three pieces of legislation aimed at moving the Commonwealth forward through this tough economy by enabling the creation of new jobs for Pennsylvanians, and to help protect our existing jobs.

NFIB is America’s leading small business association, promoting & protecting the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.
