Harrisburg – Senator Bob Mensch (R-24) visited three businesses in the 24th Senatorial District on Friday, October 6th, in recognition of Manufacturing Day.
Senator Mensch toured Kwik Goal in Quakertown, PA, Stauffer Glove and Safety in Red Hill, PA, and Campbell Fittings in Boyertown, PA. The tours placed an emphasis on the state’s manufacturing industry, their economic contributions, career opportunities and more.
“Manufacturing is part of Pennsylvania’s legacy and plays a significant role in our diverse, global economy,” said Mensch. “It continues to bolster both the Pennsylvania and U.S. economy, and creates new opportunities in a variety of fields using the latest technologies.”
Pennsylvania celebrated its third annual Manufacturing Week (September 30-October 6, 2017). Throughout the week, Pennsylvania manufacturers and partners held events to give students and their families an inside look at today’s modern manufacturing.
Senator Mensch also co-chairs the Economy, Business and Jobs (EBJ) Caucus meeting which examines ways to break down barriers that hinder economic expansion within the Commonwealth.
