For Immediate Release Online Applications Now Accepted for all State JobsNon-civil service position hopefuls can now apply via Internet A recent change means anyone seeking a job with the state will be able to file an application on-line, according to Senator Bob Mensch (R-Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery & Northampton). As of December 9, paper applications are being phased out and on-line applications are now being accepted at www.employment.pa.gov for all non-civil service positions. On-line applications for civil service jobs are already accepted at www.scsc.state.pa.us. Non-civil service positions make up about 30 percent of the state's workforce and are typically non-technical and non-professional jobs. "This process is quicker and more convenient for everyone involved," said Senator Mensch. "Applicants can file from their homes or from public computers at libraries and PA CareerLink sites. They can do so at a time that best suits them and they should have easy access to all of the background information they may need to complete their applications." More information about state jobs, including salaries and benefits, is also available at www.employment.pa.gov. |
