New Website Offers Resources for Crime Victims

www.pacrimevictims.com includes justice system info

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency recently launched a new website that offers helpful resources to crime victims, according to Senator Bob Mensch.

The Pennsylvania Crime Victims website, www.pacrimevictims.com, includes information about the criminal and juvenile justice system, rights and services available to crime victims and helpful tips on trauma and healing.

The site also includes details on the Victims’ Compensation Assistance Program, restitution, the Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification (PA SAVIN) system and additional victims’ services available at the county level.

"The effects of crime can be serious and long-lasting, and many victims may not know where to turn for information and support," Senator Mensch said. "This website can help crime victims and their loved ones to receive the information, resources and support they need to cope with a traumatic experience."

The website was designed and developed by the Office of Victims’ Services. Additional information on the website is available by contacting the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency online at www.pccd.state.pa.us or by calling toll-free (800) 692-7292.
