Easton Suburban Water Authority Receives $5.2 Million State Loan
PENNVEST financing for pump station replacement, new mains
The Easton Suburban Water Authority will receive a $5.27 million state loan
to upgrade its water system, according to Senator Bob Mensch (R-24). The
Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) approved the
low-interest loan at its board meeting on Tuesday, March 23rd.
Easton Suburban will apply the financing toward the replacement of the Davis
Street pump station and the replacement of 23,000 feet of deteriorated water
mains.
"This low interest PENNVEST loan will help Easton Suburban Water Authority
resolve serious water pressure issues," Senator Mensch said. "Once completed,
these upgrades will eliminate water outages that have plagued the system in the
past. That’s more than an inconvenience; it is a danger to public health and
safety." |
