Mensch Supports Second Amendment Rally at Capitol

State Senator Bob Mensch (R-24) announced his support for sports enthusiasts and legal firearms owners who gathered in the Capitol Rotunda Tuesday for a rally to protect the Second Amendment.

"The right to keep and bear arms is clear in both the U.S. and Pennsylvania Constitutions," said Mensch. "In our Commonwealth, the provision granting that right could not be clearer in Article 1, Section 21, which reads the right of citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the state shall not be questioned."

The rally featured hundreds of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen and women from all over the Commonwealth. A bipartisan group of lawmakers joined with the crowd. "I stand with my constituents who have voiced their concerns about anti-gun legislation in Harrisburg," said Mensch. "I will continue to work hard to protect what has always been, is, and will always be, a basic, fundamental right."
