Mensch Receives “Friend of the Food Industry” Award

Harrisburg – Senator Bob Mensch (R- Montgomery, Bucks, Berks) is honored to receive the “Friend of the Food Industry” award from the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA). This award is presented to legislators who exemplify the values of supermarket, convenience store and associate members.

“It is an honor to receive such a generous recognition,” said Mensch.  “Economic prosperity and job growth are among my top priorities.   I will continue working hard to strengthen Pennsylvania’s business climate.”

The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) advocates the views of convenience stores, supermarkets, independent grocers, wholesalers and consumer product vendors operating in Pennsylvania.

PFMA’s membership consists of national chain stores, regional chains and locally owned independent retailers of all sizes. Their 800 corporate members operate more than 2,500 retail food stores and employ more than 100,000 Pennsylvanians.

Senator Mensch congratulated the other members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who were recognized with the 2014 PFMA Friend of the Food Industry Award Recipients, which included:
