Harrisburg – Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) co-hosted an Interfaith Forum on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Carousel at Pottstown.
The Interfaith Forum was open to the community. The forum provided an opportunity for people of various faiths and backgrounds to talk in a nonpartisan setting without the presence of bias or hate. Representatives from Pottstown Works (Salvation Army of Pottstown) had a table at the event to promote job opportunities and training.
Members of the Pottstown chapter of the NAACP and representatives from the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission also participated.
“Last evening marked a renewed effort in pursuing conversations in our community for understanding and tolerance,” Mensch said. “These are issues fundamental to being American, and I am very encouraged and pleased to have been a part of these conversations. It was wonderful to have so many community members and religious leaders to participate interactively as we all did.”
