Red Hill Borough Receives Commonwealth Financing Authority Grant

HARRISBURG – The Commonwealth Financing Authority announced the recipients of their PA Small Water and Sewer Program grants, according to Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) and Rep. Justin Simmons (R-131).

Red Hill Borough was awarded $82,260 through the PA Small Water and Sewer Program to install a storm water pipe at the intersection of 7th Street and Beyer Alley, located in Red Hill Borough, Montgomery County. Both Mensch and Simmons have offices in in the borough.

The proposed project will install 200 feet of 15 inch stormwater conveyance pipe beneath Beyer Alley, along with inlets at the ends of the alley, and a second pipe at the intersection of 7th Street and Beyer Alley. The second pipe will be 167 linear feet and extends east to a new inlet that will empty into an existing sewer system. This infrastructure is intended to collect runoff from 7th Street and properties along Washington Street.

“I am happy to see that Red Hill Borough will be receiving this grant money to install infrastructure that will collect runoff from 7th Street and properties along Washington Street,” Mensch said. “I look forward to seeing the success of the completed project and the significant improvements that will come from it.”

“I congratulate Red Hill Borough on receipt of this grant,” said Simmons, “and I am glad to know that it will assist with the addition of infrastructure to enhance protection against the elements for the Borough and its residents.”
