Senator Bob Mensch Conducts COVID-19 Government Shutdown Survey

HARRISBURG –Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) recently conducted a survey, which was posted on his website and promoted on social media, asking a few questions regarding the COVID-19 shutdown and public health emergency.

Those who completed the survey were asked three questions. Below are the results.

Survey Question 1: Which of the categories were most impacted in your life due to COVID-19?

Income: 70%

Education: 24%

Healthcare: 6%

Survey Question 2: What government services were you most in need of during the COVID-19 shutdown?

Unemployment compensation: 46%

Services not related to the COVID-19 shutdown: 37%

Health services: 17%

Survey Question 3: What can state government do better during a public health emergency?

Transparency about how decisions are made: 44%

Reliable and timely access to information: 32%

Reliable and timely access to assistance: 24%
