Senator Bob Mensch Speaks at Berks County Business & Community Advocacy Council Virtual Meeting

HARRISBURG – Today, Sen. Bob Mensch (R-24) spoke to the Berks County Business & Community Advocacy Council during a virtual meeting. During the meeting, Senator Mensch discussed phase two of the Pennsylvania Budget and gave an update on some of the legislation that is being worked on in the Capitol.

Senator Mensch spoke about the revenue projections for the Commonwealth and how it will affect the upcoming budget. While revenue projections continue to be slightly above estimations in most categories, the picture painted by the cash flow in the Treasury is a little more telling in terms of financial distress. He included highlights of the 5-month budget, items not addressed, historical budget spending by funding category, and an unemployment update, among other topics.

The Pennsylvania Senate will be convening on Monday and Tuesday of next week for session. You can watch session live here.
