WHO: Senator Bob Mensch (R-24), a member of the Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee, announced that a pair of hearings are scheduled April 13-14 in southeast Pennsylvania to explore how the state’s technology and energy infrastructure impact our economy.
DATE: Tuesday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 14th.
WHERE: vXchnge Data Center, 1500 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia 19130 (April 13th); Veritas Medical Solutions, 160 Cassell Rd, Harleysville, PA 19438 (April 14th).
TIME: 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. both days; tours of the facilities will precede the hearings.
WHAT: The Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee, chaired by Senator Yudichak, is holding a hearing on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Technology & Energy Infrastructure.” Panelists affiliated with the data center and petrochemical industries are slated to participate.
The panel will convene from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 13th at 1500 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, home of the vXchnge Data Center, to take testimony on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Technology Infrastructure.” Tours of the facility will precede the hearing.
The following day, April 14th, lawmakers will tour Philadelphia Steamfitters Local Union 420 at 10:00 am.
Subsequently, the panel will meet from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. at Veritas Medical Solutions in Harleysville, to take testimony on “Pennsylvania’s Economy – The Reliability of our Energy Infrastructure.” The business is in the 24th Senate District.
The multi-day hearing is open to the media, but RSVP’s are recommended so safety protocols are followed.
