Harrisburg – Last night, Senator Bob Mensch (R-24) attended the Richland Township Board of Supervisors meeting to announce the awarding of $160,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED)’s Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program.
The Senator was joined by the Richland Township Board of Supervisors, as well as the Township Manager. These funds will help construct a trail section, which will connect with a sidewalk system.
This will help address gaps in the existing trail system and contribute to the pedestrian connection throughout Richland Township to the Upper Bucks Rail Trail, Saucon Rail Trail, and Bethlehem Greenway.
It will also provide a key connection between the local school district’s campuses and facilities.
“With all of these improvements that will serve a multi-generational community for years to come, I was happy to support this project,” Mensch said. “Congratulations again to Richland Township on being the recipient of this much-deserved funding. I look forward to the improvements that are to be made and will continue to support important projects such as this one.”
