Senator Mensch Recognizes Local Eagle Scout Evan Romano for Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony

HARRISBURG – State Senator Bob Mensch (R-24) recognized a local Eagle Scout for his Eagle Court of Honor Ceremony. Evan Romano, of Collegeville, is a member of Troop 105 in Schwenksville, PA.

Evan’s Eagle Scout Ceremony took place on Saturday, September 26. He has served as the Troop’s bugler, was a Patrol Leader for two years, and is currently an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.

His Eagle Scout project was completed at the Montgomery County 4H Center in Collegeville, where he redesigned the Master Gardeners’ Shed. In addition to his involvement in Boy Scouts, Evan is also a member of the cross-country and winter/ spring track and field teams at Perkiomen Valley High School, as well as a member of the Concert Band.

Evan works at Merrymead Farm, a family owned and operated working dairy farm and farm market that specializes in producing and processing milk on-site. With this, he serves in volunteer roles at Lower Providence Presbyterian Church. In April of 2019, Evan was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, which is Scouting’s National Honor Society that recognizes those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition.

Along with Evan’s troop and family, Senator Mensch was extremely proud of Evan’s accomplishments, and was honored to award him with a Senate citation at the ceremony.
