Senator Mensch Announces Awarding of Department of Community and Economic Development’s Multimodal Program Funding to Colebrookdale Township

Harrisburg –  Senator Bob Mensch (R-24) attended a groundbreaking event with Colebrookdale Township to announce the awarding of $800,000 from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED)’s Multimodal Program. These funds will help make significant improvements to the intersection of North Reading Avenue, Montgomery Avenue, and Henry Avenue.

This project will help install a traffic signal and create dedication turn lanes. These improvements will address traffic congestion, safety concerns, bicycle and pedestrian safety and access concerns, and more. It will also improve the safety and mobility of vehicles during an emergency response from the local fire and EMS departments.

“With all of these improvements providing a safer environment along the corridor for both motorists and pedestrians, which is paramount given the proximity of the Colebrookdale Elementary School and the Boyertown Area Senior High School, I was happy to support this project,” Mensch said. “Congratulations again to Colebrookdale Township on being the recipient of this much-deserved funding.”
